As you’ve more likely heard, Oasis is reuniting in the summer of 2025 for a tour of the U.K. and Ireland that some are calling ”the Eras Tour for blokes.”
Liam and Noel Gallagher, the singer and primary songwriter for Oasis, confirmed the news on Tuesday.
Many fans are hoping that the tour — the Britpop band’s first in more than 15 years — will be extended to North America, though that will depend if the infamously belligerent brothers can keep things together long enough.
Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis rose to global success in the mid-‘90s with hits like “Wonderwall,” “Champagne Supernova” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” Further buoyed by their bitter rivalry with the London rock outfit Blur, Oasis came to define the Britpop phenomenon, which offered a brighter alternative to the grunge music that dominated the airwave in the first half of the decade.
But the band was also known for their offstage antics, their larger-than-life personalities and, of course, the bitter, never-ending bickering between the two Gallagher brothers. In 2017, Liam told talk show host Graham Norton that he genuinely did not like his brother Noel.
Fortunately, the same qualities that led to the band’s demise in 2009 have gifted us some of the most hilarious and bizarre moments of rock lore of the past couple decades.
To celebrate the return of Oasis, here are 10 of our favourite Gallagher brother moments.
