The inaugural Toronto Jazz Fest Gala raises funds for local musicians

On June 20, the historic Windsor Arms Hotel was the scene of the first Toronto Jazz Fest Gala, an event to raise funds for local and Canadian artists. The evening was led by Howard Kerbel, CEO of Toronto Jazz Fest, and was chaired by Lily Li, co-ordinated by Jessica Panetta and emceed by TV personality Joan Kelley Walker. It featured performances by Molly Johnson, Jim Galloway’s Wee Big Band, Juno Award winner Kellylee Evans as well as a thrilling competition between swing and hip-hop dancers.
