An investigation into the death of a man who was found deceased in a rural area of Port Colborne is heating up following the arrest of a St. Catharines woman.
On Thursday, the Niagara Regional Police Service arrested 36-year-old Jade Hayward on first-degree murder charges.
She was held in custody for a bail hearing on Friday at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
Hayward is accused, along with two other men, of killing 38-year-old Daniel Sanvido, whose body was found in a grassy area off the roadway, near Forkes Road and Highway 140.
The circumstances surrounding Sanvido’s death are still unclear. However, police say they are treating the case as a homicide.
Investigators are now on the hunt for two additional suspects: 47-year-old Jacob Cudney and 47-year-old Richard Stevens, both of Niagara Falls, are wanted on murder charges.
Authorities say both men are considered to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is encouraged to contact police.
