Two people are dead following a late-night shooting in Brampton.
Police in Peel Region were called to the Rutherford Road and Weybridge Trail area, north of Williams Parkway, just before 10:30 p.m. Friday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to an eyewitness on the scene, one of the victims was located at the basketball courts behind St. Joachim Elementary School on Rutherford Road North, while the second victim was found on the front driveway of a home on Weybridge Trail.
Paramedics say both adult males were pronounced dead at the scene.
Video obtained by CityNews shows at least one person taken into custody by police.
Police did not provide any further details, adding that an update will be provided on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
