3.7 magnitude earthquake recorded near Orillia, no reports of damage

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake has been recorded by Earthquakes Canada near Orillia, Ont. Tuesday night.

There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected, according to Earthquakes Canada. It was recorded 23 kilometres ESE of Orillia and just under 100 kilometres north of Toronto at 10:59 p.m.

Residents across the GTA and as far south as St. Catherines reported feeling the shaking.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured the earthquake at a 4.1 magnitude.
