Three people have been injured following a brazen robbery in Rexdale.
Investigators say a vehicle crashed into the front window of a store on Islington Avenue near Albion Road just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the thieves entered the store and took a quantity of merchandise before fleeing the area.
Police did not immediately specify what type of store it was but one person who was in the area tells 680 NewsRadio that it was Raj’s Jewellery and that the thieves drove a grey F-150.
Paramedics tell CityNews two men and a woman were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
There were no immediate suspect descriptions.
The robbery appeared to mimic a similar incident on December 6 where the driver of a truck reversed and crashed through the front window of Ancaster Jewellers. Five people were arrested in that smash-and-grab robbery.
