Three people have suffered critical injuries following a serious crash in Scarborough.
Provincial police say two MTO blocker trucks were in a live westbound lane of Highway 401 west of Meadowvale Road, protecting another crash that was further ahead when a vehicle crashed into those trucks.
Three people who were in that vehicle were taken to hospital with critical injuries. The age, gender and extent of the injuries sustained were not immediately available.
Police say the MTO truck that was struck was unoccupied at the time of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
