Halton police are searching for three suspects who are wanted in connection with a terrifying home invasion and vehicle theft in Oakville.

According to police, the three suspects allegedly broke into a home on Friday in the area of Coronation Drive and John Laird Circle at approximately 3 a.m.

Officers say the masked suspects went up to the resident’s bedroom with guns drawn and woke them up out of their sleep.

After the victims handed over the keys to their vehicles and other valuables, the suspects fled in a dark sedan and the victim’s Mercedes SUV. Police were called and quickly located both vehicles travelling eastbound on Dundas Street.

A police pursuit ensued, at which point the suspects decided to abandon the stolen Mercedes near Prince Michael Drive and flee on foot into a residential area near Kestell Boulevard.

The Mercedes was recovered and authorities proceeded to search the area with police dogs, but the suspects were not located and are still outstanding.

Investigators encourage anyone with information to contact police.
