Ottawa police say three men have been charged with stealing expensive perfume in Barrhaven last month.

Police say they arrived to a theft in progress in the 3100 block of Strandherd Drive around 10:45 p.m. on March 17. The suspects had fled by the time police arrived.

Three Ottawa men face charges of theft over $5,000, conspiracy to commit theft over $5,000, and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Andrew Smyth, 40, Shane Albert, 40, and Theodore Vanderhorn, 56, remain in custody.

“Investigators would like to thank members of the public who provided assistance during the early stages of the investigation,” police said.
