The westbound Queensway was backed up Wednesday afternoon following a single-vehicle collision at about 1 p.m. near Parkdale Avenue.
Ontario Provincial Police said first responders managed to free the driver, who was transported to hospital.
Police were holding the scene pending further information on the person’s injuries.
Just after 2 p.m., police reopened the highway.
There was no immediate word on the person’s condition.
