About me
A glamazon brunette with curves, I’m an artist and renaissance woman. How would I describe my personality? I asked my brother and he said “effervescent.” Ha! I’d say I’m friendly, open, self-aware, gregarious, patient and funny, but also a little neurospicy with a quiet house-sloth side.
I moved to Toronto a year ago from a small island on the west coast. Because I’ve lived in so many different places, I have an openness to variety that makes me a little different. I also have hazel eyes, which I hear only five per cent of the world has! A friend once said, “You refuse to let other people dictate who you are or what you do. You are unapologetically you.’
I really care about my people and can be loyal to a fault. The pros of dating me: I’m a great cook, good listener and good talker. I love physical affection and bedroom time. I listen to good music, and love to experience the art, food, and magic of the city as well as stay in and cosy up with a good book or film.
My relationship history
I’ve never been married, and I’m interested in long-term commitment without societal pressures. I dove into my art the past few years and put a lot more priority into my platonic, family and business relationships. I haven’t been dating too much as I’m still finding my feet in the big city and perhaps have been a bit gun-shy. I moved from a small town where the dating pool was akin to backyard kiddie pool.
I enjoy being single, but I feel I’m ready to let someone in. There are so many amazing things you get to experience and learn about yourself when you’re in a committed relationship. Of course, a lack of physical intimacy is a big reason being single sucks.
What I’m looking for
I’m looking for someone handsome and handy — someone who is intelligent, kind and confident, and financially stable too. I’m attracted to smart folks who appreciate the arts and read books. I’m tall, so I prefer a fella on the taller side who takes care of himself.
It would be awesome to have an indoor and outdoor activity we do together. But I want my partner to have their own stuff going on too, like, “Yes, honey, go enjoy your DND night.”
I love that feeling of snuggling and trying to intertwine every little limb of each other. I love coffee mornings and dinner dates and catching up on the daily minutia. I love the emotional support and special stupid nicknames, and how sex gets better the more you love each other.
Dealbreaker-wise, I travel a lot and need my alone time and space. I’m super-allergic to cats. Other no-nos include dishonesty; poor personal hygiene; messiness; indulging in hard drugs or cigarettes; and any signs of misogyny, racism, homophobia or transphobia.
Why I’m putting myself out there
I wanted to try this dating method because I felt like it was beneficial to put what I’m looking for into words, and also a really good idea in a world where it seems tough to meet folks without scrolling for hours. I’d like to put myself out there a bit more — I feel like I’m a catch and have a lot of love to give!
