The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in an arson investigation following a fire on April 1 that destroyed a vacant five-storey apartment building in Bells Corners.
At approximately 4:45 a.m., emergency responders were called to the 0-100 block of Northside Road, where a residential building under construction was fully engulfed in flames. The building collapsed an hour later and no injuries were reported.
The Ottawa police arson unit is asking those with dash-cam or surveillance footage of suspicious activity, particularly from the Northside Road, Thorncliffe Place and Robertson Road area, to reach out.
