One dead, another in life-threatening condition after collision in Orléans

One person was dead and another was in life-threatening condition after a serious collision in Orleans on Tuesday afternoon.

According to an Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson, emergency responders were called to the intersection of Innes Road and Esprit Drive at around 2:10 p.m. following reports of a serious collision.

After paramedics arrived, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person, an adult female, was transported to hospital in serious condition with life-threatening injuries.

Three occupants in a vehicle were taken to hospital in stable condition, the spokesperson said.

No information about the deceased will be released until next of kin is notified, the spokesperson added.

Innes Road between Tenth Line Road and Portabello Road was expected to remain closed for several hours while officers investigated the collision, an Ottawa Police Service social media post said.
