Vandals damage headstones in Arnprior, OPP ask for help in investigation

The Renfrew OPP detachment is investigating after gravesites were driven over in Arnprior.

On May 16, officers responded to reports of vandalism and damage that occurred between May 14 and May 16 at a cemetery on Albert Street, the OPP said in a news release Monday.

“The culprits drove over gravesites, damaging the grass and multiple headstones,” the release stated.

Police asked for the public’s help in the investigation. Anyone who witnessed anything or can assist was asked to call the Renfrew OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers at 613-735-8477 or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.
