One man was seriously injured in a shooting near Craig Henry Drive on Sunday evening.
Paramedics responded to a call about a shooting on Ashwick Court at around 8:40 p.m., according to Marc-Antoine Deschamps, superintendent of public information for the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
One adult male was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds in serious but non-life-threatening condition, Deschamps added. The victim is in serious but stable condition.
The victim was shot by another man after an “altercation,” Ottawa police spokesperson Julie Kavanagh said. The suspect got out of a vehicle and shot the victim, who then became involved in “an ongoing dispute.”
“This is believed to be a targeted incident,” Kavanagh said.
Police are investigating the incident.
