No one was seriously injured after a vehicle ended up inside a beer store on Baseline Road on Wednesday morning.

Ottawa Fire Services took a call at 10:52 a.m. following reports that a vehicle had been driven into the store and, upon arrival at the scene in the 1900 block of Baseline, confirmed that it had come to a stop inside the building.

One elderly patient was taken to hospital with very minor injuries following the single-vehicle incident, an Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson said.

The OFS Structural Collapse Team was sent to the scene and confirmed that the integrity of the structure had been compromised, the fire service said in a news release. The team then began work to provide temporary support for the building.

There was no immediate word from the Ottawa Police Service on whether or not anyone had been charged following the incident.
