Ottawa police are seeking public assistance following the arrest of a 30-year-old Nepean man for possession and distribution of child pornography.
The arrest comes after investigators from the force’s Internet Child Exploitation unit executed a search warrant in Nepean on Thursday.
Oscar Mulrooney-Cote, 30, was to appear in court Friday to face charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
In a release, police said investigators are concerned that other victims have not yet been identified.
“As a result, we are releasing a variation of the usernames and email addresses used by the accused,” police said.
The user names are “Quilltonx” and “Mess-Maker”.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5660. Tips may also be sent electronically to [email protected]
