A 74-year-old Tay Valley man was to appear in court Thursday to face intimate partner violence charges following an early morning incident.
Lanark County OPP officers were called to cottage just after 12:30 a.m.
The suspect, whose name was not released to protect the victim’s identity, has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, and one charge each of assault, mischief and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police said there were no reports of injury,
