The Gatineau Police Service on Friday issued a request for public assistance in locating a 49-year-old man who was reportedly last seen in Pembroke two days earlier.

Paul Cloutier was in a Pembroke store at about 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 6, a police news release said.

He was last seen wearing a green and yellow sweatshirt with military-style pattern and the words “Young and Reckless” on the back along with dark-coloured shorts and black shoes.

He was described as a white male standing five feet 11 inches (1.8 metres) tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was believed to have driven away from the Pembroke store in a 2013 ivory-coloured 4-door Kia Soul with Quebec licence plate W23 XPB.

Cloutier may be driving in Ontario and heading towards Western Canada, Gatineau police said. Anyone who believes they have seen him is asked to contact their local police department immediately.
