The Canadian Museum of History announced it closed for the day Monday due to a watermain break.
The break has occurred at the intersection of Laurier Street and Allumetti
ères Boulevard, the museum said Tuesday.
Services including the Panorama Caf
é, Second Cup, CINÉ, the gift shop, the Canadian Children’s Museum and the parking garage are also closed, the museum said.
The City of Gatineau said on its website that detour signs will be put in place during repairs, and has said crews are “hard at work to restore the situation as quickly as possible.”
Coloured water, a drop in pressure or water interruptions could be observed in the area around the water main break, the city said.
The City of Gatineau did not immediately respond when asked about the timeline of the repairs.
