Provincial police say a quantity of drugs and burglary tools were recovered when officers stopped a stolen car in Alfred-Plantagenet last week.
In a social media post, police said an OPP officer was on traffic duty on County Road 17 when their automated licence plate recognition system detected a stolen vehicle.
Police stopped the vehicle, and a man and a woman were arrested without incident.
The 30-year-old male suspect from Kingston is to appear in court Nov. 5. He faces a dozen charges, including theft of a vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, and possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The woman, 29, of Kingston, faces seven charges, including theft of a vehicle and possession of a weapon. She is expected to appear in court next month.
