MONTREAL – TFI International Inc. reported a profit of US$84.7 million in the third quarter, compared with US$125.9 million during the same period a year earlier.
That amounted to earnings of US$1.02 per diluted share, a decrease from US$1.48 during the previous year.
The Montreal-based trucking firm says its total revenue for the quarter amounted to US$1.97 billion compared with US$2.18 billion during the prior-year quarter.
TFI International CEO Alain Bédard says in a press release the company’s U.S. less-than-truckload segment delivered an operating ratio matching its positive performance from the previous year.
Bédard also says TFI International has generated over US$570 million in free cash flow on a year-to-date basis that enhances its ability to operate and invest.
