Ottawa police investigate break-and-enter spree

Ottawa police are investigating a series of residential break and enters that investigators believe to be linked to an organized crime group.

The break and enters have occurred throughout the city in recent days, police said, with suspects entering homes at all hours of the day through the front doors.

Police have released images of a suspected individual as well as an involved vehicle, described as a silver Ram pickup truck.

Investigators urge residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity. Anyone who sees the suspects or the vehicle is also encouraged to contact police.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, at extension 4533. If witnessing a crime in progress, call 911.
