Ottawa police say an investigation is continuing into an incident Thursday afternoon involving widespread 911 calls of a person spotted with a firearm in the Stanley Avenue and Keefer Street area in the city’s New Edinburgh neighbourhood.
The reports began at about 3 p.m., police said on social media.
“Police flooded the area to search for a suspect, but ultimately no one was located,” police said. Nor were detectives able to confirm that a real firearm was involved.
CCTV footage was obtained, but provided no clues.
