Police seek suspect in break-in at downtown hotel

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect captured by security cameras at a break-in at a downtown hotel in September.

In a social media release on Nov. 21, police said the break-and-enter was

 in the 100 block of Kent Street.

The suspect was allegedly captured on security cameras at about
3:39 a.m. on Sept. 29 entering the hotel’s stock room. The suspect stole unspecified electronics gear before fleeing.

He was described as a tall Caucasian with a thin build. His age was estimated at 25 to 40 years.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black tuque and a black jacket over a dark T-shirt with white-and-red writing, dark-coloured pants and black-and-white shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service West Division break-and-enter unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533.
