MISSISSAUGA – Goeasy Ltd. says its chief executive Dan Rees will step down at the end of the month due to health issues.
The non-prime lending company says Patrick Ens, who is currently president of the easyfinancial brand, will take over from Rees in the new year.
Rees was appointed to the role in March, but the company says he is dealing with a blood disorder that requires him to resign.
He plans to stay on as a special adviser to Ens until June 30.
Goeasy executive chair David Ingram says Ens will bring “analytical strength, operational experience, and a deep understanding of the needs of everyday Canadians” to the role.
He thanked Rees for his leadership of the company and extended support for his decision to prioritize his health.
