Suspect sought in Westboro break-in

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in a Sept. 23 break and enter at a home in Westboro.

In a release, police said the break-in occurred at about 1:30 a.m. at a home in the 500 block of Broadhead Avenue.

The intruder allegedly stole a wallet belonging to one of the residents. Shortly after, the stolen credit and debit cards were used to make purchases at a business on Richmond Road.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 35 to 45 years old, with a medium build, with a beard and a bun hairdo.

At the time, he was wearing a light green Under Armour hooded sweatshirt, glasses, dark pants and sneakers.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or the incident is asked to contact the OPS Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533.
