Ottawa police announced Sunday that the last Festive RIDE campaign of the year resulted in charges for 34 drivers.

Twenty-seven drivers were charged with “impaired-related offences”; two suspended drivers were charged; three drivers were charged with having open alcohol while driving and two others were charged under the Cannabis Control Act.

Officers conducted enforcement at 76 locations across the city, the release said, resulting in 6,924 driver interactions.

“In addition to RIDE checkpoints, frontline officers continued enforcement during regular patrols,” police said.

In total, 94 drivers were charged with impaired-related offences during the Festive RIDE season, both through RIDE programs and routine policing.

The totals brought to 854 the number of drivers charged in the full year in 2025, up from 837 drivers in 2024.
