BTS Army rise up! After a nearly four-year lull without the world’s most popular boy band, the boys are coming back in a big way — a world tour and a new album.
As announced Tuesday morning, BTS will head back on the road playing 79 confirmed shows across five continents. Their musical trek across the planet will commence this April in South Korea. For Toronto diehards, the boys will play the Rogers Stadium on Aug. 22 and 23.
Tickets go on presale Jan. 22 and 23 for members of the BTS Army, with Toronto tickets available as of 1 p.m. on Jan. 22
General tickets go on sale Jan. 24 via LiveNation.com.
Toronto is the only Canadian date on the list.
Army members must register for the presale on Weverse by Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. for membership to be verified, Live Nation says. See btsworldtourofficial.com for more information.
Live Nation called this the biggest global K-pop tour of all time and the largest of band’s career to date.
It will feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design putting the audience at the centre and allowing increased capacity at every venue, the promoter added.
The band’s fifth studio album following their 2020 multi-award winning “Be” will be available for preorder this Friday, Jan. 16, with the album fully rolled out on March 20.
BTS’s hiatus began way back in 2022 to allow all seven members to do their mandatory military service to much fan dismay.
