Calgary home sales fall to start 2026 as property prices decline: board

CALGARY – Home sales in the City of Calgary were 14.8 per cent lower in January compared with the same month last year as prices also decreased again, led by cheaper condos.

The Calgary Real Estate Board says 1,234 homes changed hands last month, as the city’s residential benchmark price fell 4.7 per cent year-over-year to $554,400.
