In 2023, Ottawa Public Health conducted 1,071 investigations related to dogs, with another 1,111 investigations in 2024 and 1,084 more in 2025. Of these cases, OPH recommended post-exposure vaccination in 107 cases in 2023, in 114 cases in 2024 and in 84 cases in 2025.
