Ottawa police are awaiting DNA test results to determine whether human remains found in November are connected to the suspected homicide of a Greely man who has been missing since 2019.

Police said it was “of note” that

Corey Baldwin was last seen at his home in Greely in 2019

, “a short distance from where the remains were located.”

Officers responded to reports of human remains found in the area of Rideau Road and Albion Road on Nov. 8, 2025, and have since confirmed the remains are those of an adult male.

Police announced they were treating Baldwin’s disappearance as a homicide in December, shortly after the remains were found, and offered a $75,000 reward for information that would lead to an arrest.

Baldwin was

reportedly last seen in the Montreal area in April 2019

, and investigators believe he may have travelled to British Columbia before he was reported missing in December 2019.

Baldwin lived in Greely and would not have left his two young daughters without an explanation, according to a police news release in April 2024.

Police urged anyone with information related to the discovery of the human remains or Baldwin’s disappearance to come forward. Anyone with information was asked to call the OPS at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.
