A judge ordered a video of a councillor’s breathalyzer test released, here’s why it’s important

Towards the end of the trial, defence lawyer Lawrence Greenspon argued that a key piece of evidence — a video showing Luloff at the Elgin Street cellblock that night for a breath test — should not be published and broadcast, despite being presented already at trial. Greenspon, who filed seven Charter challenges during the trial, said the video was “state compelled” and shouldn’t be broadcast because the judge hasn’t ruled on whether the Charter challenges had any merit.
