“The Ottawa Police Service extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Peter Clark, who tragically lost his life while serving as a school crossing guard,” a statement from the OPS on Tuesday said. “Crossing guards play a vital role in protecting children and families, standing in all conditions to ensure students can travel to and from school safely.”
