A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Giovanni Costa almost five years ago.
Provincial police in Caledon say Costa was one of two victims found suffering from gunshot wounds in a home on Harvest Moon Drive in Bolton on Jan. 18, 2021.
The second victim in that shooting was previously injured in a separate shooting in November 2020 in Vaughan.
Investigators say 25-year-old Damion Ryan of Ottawa was arrested on March 12, 2026, and faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Investigators have previously issued a Canada-wide warrant for 48-year-old Waheed Barakziye of London, Ont., and an Ontario-wide warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Filmon Fesshaghirgis of London, Ont. Both are wanted for first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Police say they are known to frequent London and the GTA.
Police say the province is offering a $50,000 reward for information in the case as the investigation continues.
