The Ottawa Police Service requested public assistance in locating a 59-year-old man who was last seen early Thursday afternoon.
David Firman was last seen in the area of Carling and Parkdale avenues, a police news release said, adding there was concern for Firman’s health and safety.
The release described Firman as a white male standing approximately five feet five inches tall with a medium build and salt-and-pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a blue hat, blue puffer jacket, black Adidas-brand pants with white stripes down the sides and grey running shoes.
He may also have been carrying a black backpack and red fishing rod.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Firman was asked to call the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at
