Vietnamese refugees will be left off Victims of Communism memorial: documents

The arrival of refugees to Canada from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos was designated a national historic event in 2023. It is considered by the Canadian government to be of historical importance as it showed how, after the end of the Vietnam War, Canada accepted nearly 200,000 refugees as they fled persecution, according to the federal government.
