An investigation that began in early March has resulted in sexual assault and other charges against a 20-year-old Ottawa resident, police announced on Thursday, April 16.
In a news release, the
Ottawa Police Service
said Mohamed Habib had been arrested and charged with two counts each of sexual assault and sexual Interference with a person under 16 and one count of of threatening conduct to another person.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, the release added.

Investigators with the OPS Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit believe there could be other victims in and around the Ottawa area, police said.
