A woman was taken to hospital in serious condition Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash in the Barrhaven area.
Ottawa paramedics said they were called to the area of Strandherd and Longfields drives at about 8:30 a.m. where a vehicle had crashed into a utility pole.
The victim, in her 20s, was freed from the vehicle and transported to hospital.
Police advise drivers to expect significant delays in the area.
