S&P/TSX composite up nearly 400 points, U.S. stock markets also climb higher

TORONTO – Canada’s main stock index was up nearly 400 points in late-morning trading, helped by strength in base metal stocks, while U.S. markets also pushed higher.

The S&P/TSX composite index was up 393.41 points at 33,711.80.
