A 27-year-old man from Mississippi Mills is dead following a single-vehicle crash in that eastern Ontario community on May 13.
In a news release the next day, the Ontario Provincial Police said officers from the Renfrew detachment, McNab/Braeside Fire Department and Renfrew County Paramedic Services responded to the crash site on Bayview Lodge Road at about 9:45 p.m.
The initial investigation indicated that the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree before becoming engulfed in flames before emergency services arrived, the release said.
The vehicle’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mississippi Mills is about 50 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.
