Police seeking cyclist, 40, reported missing in Gatineau

Gatineau police are seeking public assistance to locate Alain Kamuzinzi, 40, last seen on the morning of June 2 riding his road cycle on Atawe Street in Gatineau’s Hull sector.

Police said there were concerns for Kamuzinzi’s health and safety.

There was a possibility that the man was riding in Gatineau Park, police said.

Kamuzinzi was described as standing 1.90 metres (six feet three inches) tall, weighing 86 kilograms (190 pounds) and bearded with a shaved head and dark brown eyes.

 There was a possibility that Alain Kamunzinzi was riding in Gatineau Park, police said Wednesday.

When last seen, he was wearing cycling gear: a blue jersey with white sleeves, black cycling shorts, black biking shoes, white socks and black helmet.

He was riding a blue-and-white Trek racing cycle with two water bottles, one white and one blue.

Anyone with information that might lead to his whereabouts was asked to contact Gatineau police at 819-246-0222.
