The Ontario Provincial Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a person was found dead in Augusta Township on July 8.
Officers from the Grenville County OPP detachment went to a residence on County Road 26 that Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m., according to a news release on July 28. A body was found at the location and the death was deemed to be a homicide.
The OPP believe it was an isolated incident, with “no signs of a broader threat”.
No other details about the homicide were released.
County Road 26 runs through the southern portion of Augusta Township, which is located about 80 kilometres south of Ottawa.
