The Ontario Provincial Police has renewed a request for help finding those responsible in the killing of an Ottawa man six years ago.
The OPP released a video on social media site X , saying the investigation into the death of 25-year-old Mohamed Amin Ismail and the search for his killers were continuing.
Ismail’s body was found by OPP officers on the evening of Aug. 4, 2020 in Wellington County, west of Toronto.
“Investigators believe that individuals in the are of Wellington County, Kitchener-Waterloo and Ottawa have information that could help determine what happened to Mohamed,” said OPP sergeant Ed Sanchuk in the video.
“Despite the passage of six years, investigators know that there are those in the community who have vital information that can help bring resolution to Mohamed’s family.”
Police urged anyone with information to reach out to the Wellington County OPP.
