TORONTO – Martinrea International Inc. reported a higher profit of $43.1 million during its second quarter, up from a profit of $38.1 million during the same period a year earlier.
The company reported diluted net earnings per share of 61 cents, up from a diluted net profit per share of 52 cents.
The Toronto-based automotive supplier reported total sales of $1.20 billion during the period ended June 30, slightly down year-over-year from $1.28 billion.
On an adjusted basis, the company reported net income of $43.2 million or 61 cents per diluted share, down from $47.8 million or 66 cents per diluted share.
Martinrea president Fred Di Tosto says new business awards over the last 12 months totalled $440 million in annualized sales, with recent deals with Ford, Volkswagen-Scout, Volvo, and BMW-Rolls Royce, among others.
Chief executive Pat D’Eramo says the company is on track to deliver on its 2026 outlook, which estimates total sales of $4.5 billion to $4.9 billion.
