Toronto real estate board criticized for keeping president on during RECO investigation

The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s decision to keep Daniel Steinfeld on as president while his brokerage is being investigated for trust account violations is causing division within the industry, with some calling for his immediate resignation.

TRREB — which serves nearly 70,000 licensed brokers and salespeople — confirmed to the Star that its president, Daniel Steinfeld, will remain in his role, but will be governed by the board’s conflict-of-interest rules.
