Unifor has reached a tentative agreement with General Motors after just over a week of talks with the auto manufacturer.
Terms of the deal were not immediately available but union president Lana Payne said the agreement touted strong income and benefit gains in a statement released Saturday morning.
The deal cover more than 4,600 unionized employees at the Oshawa Assembly Plant, CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, St. Catharines Propulsion Plant and Woodstock Parts Distribution Centre.
A ratification vote is expected to take place Aug. 29 and 30.
