Health Canada has issued a product recall for the Cuisinart Metal Wire Bristle Grill Brushes due to an internal injury hazard.
“Small metal wire bristles, from certain Cuisinart-branded metal wire bristle grill brushes, can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery,” the regulator warned in the recall issued Sept. 1.
As of Aug. 26, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to its use in Canada.

- Where sold: 679 units of the affected products were sold in Canada from December 2017 to March 2026

Consumers should stop using the products immediately and contact Crate & Barrel Canada for a refund.
