Kathleen Wynne endorses candidate in Liberal leadership race

Former premier Kathleen Wynne has taken the unusual step of endorsing a candidate in Ontario’s Nov. 21 Liberal leadership race, acknowledging her support comes with pros and cons.  

She is backing Etobicoke—Lakeshore MPP Lee Fairclough, saying the former hospital chief executive who played on Canada’s 1998 rugby World Cup team has the best experience and “grit” to helm the party — and a seat in the legislature, which the last two leaders have not.
