One person was dead and another was flown to a hospital trauma centre in critical condition following a collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle in Osgoode on Friday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Ottawa Paramedic Service said a man in his 40s, believed to be the motorcycle rider, was declared dead at scene, while the critically injured individual was a woman in her 60s.
The Ottawa Police Service called Ottawa Fire Services to the intersection near Cabin and Blanchfield roads, just west of Stagecoach Road, just before 5:45 p.m. to extricate one individual from the second vehicle, which had come to rest on its roof. That process was completed within a few minutes.
